TONY NICHOLLS PROFILE
Tony’s DJ career began back in 1993 playing the London club circuit. His musical inspiration came from U.S. record labels such as Nervous Records & Strictly Rhythm and artists like Masters at Work, Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez & MK. Tony would play regularly at The Ministry of Sound, Pacha, The
Cross, Camden Palace & Hanover Grand.
In 1996 Tony would play his first set in Ibiza at the legendary Es Paradis for Clockwork Orange; soon after Tony was jetting off to Ibiza, Dubai, Cyprus, Amsterdam, Marbella & many other European destinations. One of Tony’s early studio productions was released Hed Kandi Records, which then led onto him becoming a resident DJ for the famous disco house brand.
In 2011 Tony formed Deeptrak, a creative collective from Essex, consisting of Tony and Grant Richards. Deeptrak have received support for their music from the likes of Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Mark Knight, Shapeshifters, Roland Clark, Grant Nelson, Ferreck Dawn and Victor Simonelli. Releases so far have been on Armada, Urbana, In House, Love Inc & Nocturnal Groove. Deeptrak have had the honour of remixing some stone-cold classics including Todd Terry’s ‘Jumpin’, Victor
Romero’s ‘Love Will Find A Way’ & NY’s Finest ‘Do You Feel Me’. As DJs, Deeptrak have supported a whole host of well-known artists including Sandy Rivera, Norman Jay, Smokin’ Jo, Full Intention’s Michael Grey and Low Steppa. Last summer Deeptrak went viral, when a teaser video for their remix of the classic B15 Project ‘Girls Like Us’ hit over 3 million views on facebook
Tony is currently enjoying a residency for Clockwork Orange, playing the main arena at Ibiza, Ministry of Sound, Printworks, Studio 338 & Koko (Camden Palace) warming up for the likes of Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez & Todd Terry. As well as the Clockwork Orange residency, Tony can be found playing every weekend at private parties & corporate events all over the U.K. & internationally in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Spain, France & Greece.
