Rubedo Walker

Born through alchemy, Rubedo Walker is an expression of a deep emotive side to this talented artist. Delivering a unique style of melodic house, tinged with Afro tones and groove-laden techno, his sets span the full electronic music spectrum to include breaks and electro. To various life experiences, success and failure, relationships led by emotions, Rubedo's sound is a mirror of his journey: emotive, layered, uplifting and mature. There is nothing more personal to Rubedo then an elevated emotion and connection on the dance floor.

Growing up listening to 80's synth pop, RnB and electro, then into the sound of hardcore and drum & bass. His love for electronic music expanded into house and techno which he has shared in clubs and radio under different guises. His DJ style has evolved along with his production but always maintaining a heartfelt injection into whatever he creates.

A history of Djing with a residency at Ministry of Sound, to performing at notable festivals and clubs across Asia, Europe and Ibiza, with sets ranging up to 12 hours. Producing to writing with lead vocalists and top 100 Beatport charting now is the perfect time for the new Rubedo Walker guise to take hold.

His first production landed straight in the deep end with the Master’s of Work, Kenny Dope’s inprint Dope Wax Records to becoming one of the top tech house tracks in the downloads chart for 2018 and voted in the Top 20 for all tracks of the year. His “Problem Remix” of “Come Back Baby” has been championed by figureheads like Seth Troxler at Circo Loco, to Monki BBC Radio and Sam Divine on Defected all the way to Mr After Party.

Now working on a new two track EP this is a unique pairing with No Mad Karma., to combine sounds of Kazakhstan alongside Preston Herman the prolific drummer to Kate Bush, Massive Attack’s Unfinished Synphony and Tin Tin Out. Expect something special.

Crediting his young rave days he not one to shy away from seeking new ground. Rubedo is the Curator of an event called “OOM. ”This event is an “Out of Mind” connection of the senses by fusing electronic music, digital motion art and visuals at the same time to give a real immersive experience.

A supporter for the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life music charity, and a trustee for Music 4 Children in London. He has also voiced a new scene in Sri Lanka after the Civil War he has shared his love of quality music to proposing the first international night-club to Parliament.

Rubedo believes music is the vehicle to connect us to a bigger purpose where we can make a difference in this world.
