LOUIE LOPEZ

Hi.My name is Louie Lopez and i'm a DJ & producer based in Leicester in the UK.

I've been DJing the UK club scene since way back in 1991,originaly playing 'rave' under the name of DV8 for promoters like Raindance,the Eclipse, Total Kaos, Pandemonium, Fantazia, Amnesia, Head, Shellys, Introspective, ESP and more,before progressing into playing House music in early 1993.
I'd always had a huge love affair with house music from its very beginings,and i was heavily inspired by DJ's like Graham Park,Alistair Whitehead,Danny Rampling,Jon Pleased and Sasha,so the switch to House was a natural one.

Over the years that followed I worked hard,continually developing my skills,and my sound,and before long i was gaining a solid reputation for my "well crafted crowd pleasing" sets from promoters & clubbers alike. This reputation has grown and grown over the years and has led me to play for some of THE biggest and most established clubs and promoters all around the world,including spending two seasons in Ibiza playing for the likes of Es Paradis,Garlands,Hed Kandi,Pacha,Kanya,Eden,Space and El Divino,to name a few, as well as worldwide bookings for the likes of Defected in the House,Pacha,Hed Kandi,Ministry Of Sound and many many more. I am also global resident DJ for legendary House brand 'Funkdelux',and also for 'Housexy'.

Recently I've mixed compilation albums and promo mixes for some of the UK's biggest & best new clubbing & music brands,such as Classique, Boilerhouse,DJs@work,Back To Funk and Deep Down,as well as mixing the next instalment in the much loved 'History Of House' mix series.

I also host a monthly guest mix on Cyprus's ROCKFM radio (3rd Friday of every month,8-10 UK time,which goes out live right across mainland & eastern Europe on 98.5-106.7FM,as well as via the web on rockfm985.com). I have also recently done a series of monthly guest mixes on WSPC radio in Los Angeles and also on WSPCNY in New York/Tri State,as well as having my guest mixes featured on internet radio stations around the world on an almost weekly basis.i've also previously done 2 guest mixes for Defected In The House radio and one for Hed Kandi radio in Ibiza,as well as previously co-hosting the legendary “WE ARE HOUSE” radio show every Sunday evening on Internet radio.

Of course come the weekend you'll always find me behind the decks somewhere, continuing to tear up the dancefloors of the world with my heavy dose of funked up house and bumping basslines as only LOUIE LOPEZ can!
